2012 is a very unusual year for China's timber and wood products circulation industry, the member enterprises to overcome the world economic downturn, international trade protectionism and trade frictions, the adverse effects at home and abroad have made new achievements, the industry presents many new changes and new features.
First, the timber and wooden products production and trade have steadily increased. I will analyze according to the information center statistics, last year China's production of wood and wood products showing a good development trend, the overall price of stock fell steadily. Import and export trade in wooden products grew, the total export growth of 6.91%, the trade deficit narrowed to $269 million, exports accounted for 49.79% of trade, 3.56 percentage points higher than the previous year. Wooden furniture production of 23 million 897 thousand pieces, down 20.14%, export growth of 5.2%, man-made board production of 286 million cubic meters, an increase of 19.72%. Wood doors, wooden floors, wood products, wood and other major timber and wood products production and trade volume have varying degrees of growth, or basically maintain the rising level.
Two is the industry development policy environment continues to improve. In recent years, with the Ministry of Commerce on 12th Five-Year “ ” promote the building materials planning, especially in 2012 the State Council on deepening the reform of the circulation system, accelerate the development of circulation industry, and the general office of the State Council issued several opinions on promoting the steady growth of foreign trade, promote the development of circulation industry in our country. Four industry information statistics, there are new breakthroughs. Authorized by the National Bureau of statistics, I will carry out the national statistics of timber production and marketing functions, and I will prepare the authorization of the Ministry of Commerce "Chinese timber market price index" functions, I will set up a special information center, responsible for industry statistics, has completed the "market development report" Chinese wood and wood products, and a monthly publication "Chinese wood and wood products manufacturing business report", "Chinese mahogany imported in the form of analysis report".
